The countdown is on to register for the Specialist Importers Trade Tasting (SITT) - launching for the first time as part of Harpers' own events umbrella next week.
Designed to help independent merchants and specialist importers in an industry often dominated by the loudest voices, the event is returning to the UK next Monday (27 February 2017).
Kicking off in Manchester, and coming to London on March 1, SITT promises to be a cracker with more than 70 specialist importers and producers attending each event.
Relevant for both new and seasoned trade professionals working within the independent side of the industry, the tasting promises to uncork a huge selection of diverse wines, while also creating great networking opportunities.
SITT is a "key tasting" for the independent on and off-trade sectors, being easy to navigate and offering the confidence that all the wines in the room are relevant and will not be found in the multiple channels, said Harpers publisher Lee Sharkey. "It gives Indies an opportunity to do all their buying in one day's tasting."
In a bid to offer wines off the beaten track, SITT incorporates Emerging Regions Tasting (ERT) where tipples from less well known regions of the world can be found.
