Published:  16 March, 2010

Fine Wine of Croatia is launching its wines to the London International Wine Fair in its first generic drive in the UK.

Around 30 of Croatia's top wine producers, supported by the Croatian Chamber of Commerce and Ministry of Agriculture, will show wines from across Croatia's wine growing regions.

The aim is to showcase around 50 premium wines from 30 of the country's leading producers, who are aiming to explore export potential by introducing the UK wine trade to the diverse range of wine styles which Croatia has to offer.

In addition there will be a tasting and two masterclasses following the LIWF on May 25, at The Intercontinental, Park Lane.

Ivona Grgan, project manager for Fine Wine from Croatia said: "we are very excited at this opportunity to introduce Croatian wines to the UK market. We believe that Croatia brings something new and unusual to the table, in the form of extensive indigenous grape varieties and distinctive wines. The country boasts a uniquely diverse range of climates and soils, resulting in a wide variety of high quality styles."

The masterclasses are; Styles and Ageing potential of Malvazija Istriana" and "Gra?evina - The Jewel in the Crown of Croatian Whites".
