WSA LUNCH OFFERS LOBBYING INSIGHT

Published:  23 July, 2008

The Wine and Spirit Association's annual lunch will offer the opportunity to hear the plans of Geoffrey Clifton-Brown MP, co-chairman of the recently-formed All Party Parliamentary Wine Group. Clifton-Brown, Conservative MP for Cotswold, will be speaking at the lunch, to be held at Vintners' Hall, London on Wednesday 19 June. The group has 130 members, following its launch in February, and has started on a programme to raise awareness in Parliament on the issues affecting the UK drinks trade. Clifton-Brown will be speaking about the aims of the club and encouraging diners to get involved in lobbying MPs about the political and economic concerns of the drinks industry. Tickets for the lunch are: 75 per person, 650 for a table of ten, or 350 for five places. Call Frances Marsh at the WSA on 020 7248 5377 e-mail: frances@wsa.org.uk
