Schlatter named new Merryvale president

Ren Schatter has been appointed as the new president of Merryvale Vineyards.
The Napa Valley winery saw former president Peter Huwiler resign at the end of 2007 following 11 years in the position.
Schlatter's previous role at Merryvale was as executive vice president with responsibility for national sales.
Huwiler, who plans to pursue other opportunities in the wine industry, said "it is now time for the next generation to take over the helm".
