St Pancras champagne bar opens tomorrow

Published:  23 July, 2008

Europe's longest champagne bar opens for business tomorrow (November 14th) at St Pancras International station.

The refurbished Victorian Gothic building is now the London terminus for Eurostar trains. Its 110 seat champagne bar has been described by St Pancras project director Mike Luddy as the venue's "flagship."

With prices ranging from 7.50 to 25 per glass and 70 champagne bins ranging from 39.95 to 2,500, the 96-metre bar will trade from 10 a.m. to Midnight.

Visitors are promised a panoramic view of the station.

Services will include a 19.50 per person champagne afternoon tea, served between 3 and 5 pm, and bar operators Searcy hope it will attract both rail travellers and social drinkers. It is most easily reached from Pancras Road on the station's east side.
