Ctes du Rhne launches London advertising campaign

FRANCE: Ctes du Rhne Wines is investing 250,000 to promote its wines in London.


The pre-Christmas advertising campaign - due to be launched - on November 19, will see the group focus its above the line poster campaign in London.

The one-month campaign, funded by the region's generic promotional body Inter Rhne, is expected to reach 77% of London ABC1 adults.

The two executions, designed by creative agency Toybox, feature the popular hippo and hedgehog illustrations from cartoonist Robert Thompson and reinforce the Think Red, Think Ctes du Rhne messaging. They will appear both as advertisements in the London press and as six-sheet posters across the capital.

Olivier Legrand, UK Export Manager at Inter Rhne, said: "This is the start of a re-orientation towards consumer advertising that will continue in 2008 and is the perfect time to support our below-the-line activities, encourage further sales growth and strengthen our position as the nation's favourite French AOC region."

Ctes du Rhne wines have enjoyed continued growth in the UK over recent years, with sales figures showing a 14% increase during the first six months of 2007 compared with the first six month of 2006.
