Government subsidises WSET courses

Published:  23 July, 2008

The Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) has secured Government funding to deliver subsidised training courses
to London clubs, pubs, restaurants and bars.

A spokesman said: These projects will equip employees

in various areas of the on-trade with industry-specific skills

to positively impact on the bottom line. Training covers product knowledge as well as practical skills and the NCPLH BII National Certificate (the mandatory qualification required to hold a Personal Licence) among others, and many are QCA and industry accredited.'

Two workshops are being run at WSET in London Bridge on

5 and 6 December with the aim of demonstrating some of the skills that the training covers, the impact of training on business performance and how to access the range of WSET subsidised courses.

Contact Nigel Littlewood on 020 7089 3836 or e-mail nlittlewood@wset.co.uk to discuss eligibility.
