Luscombe Drinks adds light tonic water to mixers portfolio

Published:  10 January, 2018

Luscombe Drinks has expanded its mixer portfolio with a Light Devon tonic water.

The Light Devon tonic water is produced using natural Devon spring water and enhanced with Indian quinine and Japanese yuzu - a rare and expensive citrus fruit that has three times more vitamin C than a lemon (rrp: £1.20/20cl bottle).

The new product, which joins the existing Luscombe Drinks’ Elderflower, Grapefruit and Devon tonic waters, had been developed in response to consumer demand for premium tonics with fewer calories, said head of sales, Gareth Hess.

“The tonic water sector is rapidly expanding, with sales exceeding £100 m in the past year for the first time - a rise of 37%,” he said.

The NPD, available now, debuts a “fresh new look” for the portfolio, including a new label designed to distinguish the range from the rest of Luscombe’s drinks.
