French wine producer Pierre Chavin has launched a range of alcohol-free, unfermented wine made using organic grapes.
Available now, ÔPIA comprises four variants – Chardonnay, Cabernet Savignon, Cabernet Rosé and a sparkling, with each containing between 21 and 29 calories per glass.
The range, which is preservative-free and certified vegan-friendly, provided all the health and taste benefits of the various grapes due to an “innovative production process using grape musts”, according to Pierre Chavin.
Aged in French oak, the drinks offered a “wide variety of aromas as well as a distinctive style”, it added.
To retain all the health benefits of the grapes, the polyphenols, vitamins and minerals are extracted from the pips at low temperatures in order to preserve their antioxydant and regenerative properties, according to the winery, which said the quartet is made using environmental-friendly practices.
“It is produced with the utmost respect for the soils, nature and biodiversity as well as men and women involved in its production, the local economy and the world consumers in order to provide a high quality alternative for those who cannot or choose not to drink alcohol.”
Pierre Chavin, which predominantly works with international key accounts such as state monopolies, off-trade and nn-Trade, duty-free and airline companies, exports to more than 50 countries across the world.
