Blackwoods and Grand Trunk Road join forces to launch cocktail duo
London-based luxury gin and vodka brand Blackwoods has partnered with Indian restaurant Grand Trunk Road for a ‘Gindian Summer’ collaboration.
As part of the initiative, Blackwoods’ gin and vodka will feature as the key ingredients for the restaurant’s ‘Gindian Summer’ initiative, which includes the launch of two new premium cocktails that will be available until the end of this month.
Devised by Blackwoods and Grand Trunk Road’s resident mixologist Saurav Rai, the duo is available now comprising Highway Spritz – a gin, elderflower liqueur, soda and Prosecco mix decorated with red currant, alongside Afghani Silk, which is made with vodka, Cointreau, fresh lime juice and lychee juice.
Grand Trunk Road owner Rajesh Suri said: “Working with Blackwood’s is a truly delicious pairing - their moreish, contemporary product blends fabulously with our ethos of putting the traditions of age old recipes with a modern and exciting style.”
Suri, along with head chef Dayashankar Sharma, has raised the bar for Indian fine dining in the capital since the 2016 launch.
