William Grant & Sons appoints Glenn Gordon as chairman

William Grant & Sons has appointed Glenn Gordon as its new non-executive chairman.

Gordon is former managing director, is the great-great grandson of company founder William Grant.

He will replace Peter Gordon, who has been the company chairman over the last four years, and who will continue to work in the business and participate at the board and its committees.

The global premium spirits business and independent family distillers' current board includes; Javier Ferran (vice chairman), Charles Gordon, Glenn Gordon (chairman), Peter Gordon, Fergus Chamberlain, Stella David (chief executive officers) and Robert Pollet, Iain Napier and Dermid Strain (chief financial officers).

Glenn Gordon, says: "As non-exec chairman, I look forward to working with the board in support of the management team, led by Stella David, to ensure we continue to build the value of our portfolio of brands for the long-term and maintain our position as an independent family company."
