DHL Tradeteam appoints new boss James Gill

Drinks logistics provider DHL Tradeteam has appointed James Gill as its new managing director, after predecessor Gavin Murdoch was promoted to head up the firm's Japanese business.

Gill will head up the firm's on and off-trade drinks network, and says he is looking to boost the company's service offering and bring innovation to the supply chain.

Former UK managing director Murdoch is now president and representative director of DHL Supply Chain, Japan.

Gill said: "I'm delighted to be taking over the reins from Gavin, who has done an excellent job over the past five years, leaving the business in good shape.

"These are interesting times for the drinks industry and I am looking forward to building on the successes of the last few years, focusing in particular on enhancing our service offering, bringing innovation to the market place and ensuring Tradeteam remains a great place to work," he added.

Gill joined DHL in 2004, and has been a board member for the past three years.
