This Week: A wine that helps hangovers, Champagne on the chopping board and Benny Hill's sommelier antics

Published:  18 January, 2007

Lots to talk about this week in Harpers' YouTube and quirkies round-up

Everyone in the wine trade might breathe a huge sigh of relief when they see a new product being touted as the ultimate answer to all hangovers.

Quite an odd little video here. It entails a hooded executioner chopping a Champagne bottle in slow motion. Genius cinematography or a load of rubbish - comments please.

The old ones are the best, apparently. Here is a clip of Benny Hill trying his hand as a sommelier.

What else? This fly loves his Barcardi and just wants to have fun. And it seems high pitched singing can be dangerous to all concerned when drinking wine.

And finally We rarely cover beer on the Harpers website but there is something decidedly fishy and fascinating about this recently released product.
