This week: The Mollydooker shake arrives, Johnnie Walker is beheaded and a novel way to pour wine

Published:  18 January, 2007

Lots to talk about this week in our YouTube and quirkies round-up.

Particularly notable was the release of the curiously titled Mollydooker shake from winemakers Sparky and Sarah Marquis. Something to do with releasing nitrogen apparently but we'll let you see for yourselves. Elsewhere on the web, there was shocking news of a heinous crime committed in Scotland where a life size statue of Johnnie Walker was beheaded.

It's not all bad news though as judging by this video, the new USB wine stick could be the answer to all of our problems. Wine straight from your laptop - a great, if unachievable, concept.

What else? Well she's been in and out of the redtops in recent months but one YouTube user has decided to film his very own apt tribute to Amy Winehouse. Maybe there's a Turner Prize in the offing or perhaps he just has too much time on his hands - you decide.

And finally, one for all the wine buyers out there. Next time you are stressing over late deliveries, spare a thought for the owners of a 2,300-year-old Cypriot ship that sunk off the coast of Chios along with dozens of amphorae of valuable wine.
