New listings for Jacob's Creek tri-varietal range

Published:  23 July, 2008

The new Three Vines range from Australian producer Jacob's Creek has gained listings in a number of major multiples and on-trade outlets in the UK.

Tesco, Thresher, Spar and Greene King will offer all three of the new range, with Asda and Sainsbury's offering two.

The Three Vines range consists of a white (Semillon/Sauvignon Blanc/Viognier), a red (Shiraz/Cabernet Sauvignon/Tempranillo) and a ros (Shiraz/Grenache/Sangiovese).

Priced at 6.99, Three Vines sits between the entry-level (5.49-5.99) and Reserve (7.99) ranges.

Adrian Atkinson, Pernod Ricard UK's wine development director, said: "Both the trade and consumers rightly expect Jacob's Creek to lead the field in innovation and quality.

"Three Vines perfectly fits these expectations, bringing together the expertise of Philip Laffer and the winemaking team with our insight into the opportunities in the UK market for a vibrant, interesting and well-priced wine range suitable for a variety of drinking occasions."

The launch of Three Vines will be accompanied by a national and consumer press advertising campaign between September and November, while sampling events will be held in Asda, Sainsbury's and Tesco stores in the autumn.
