Honey-based cocktails and beers will form the focus of a new bar at the heart of London’s only meadery.
In the old ticket office of Peckham Rye station, Gosnells will partner with the downstairs Coal Rooms, which will be supplying small plates of no-nonsense British nosh, including Peckham Fatboy potatoes and smoked pigs’ head blood pudding with apple ketchup.
Upstairs is where honey wine and mead enthusiasts will get their fix. Launching on March 8, Upstairs will focus on Gosnells’ honey-based ferments, including its original and vintage meads and a changing roster of pink hibiscus, salted, hopped, barrel-aged, gooseberry and non-alcoholic variants.
There’ll also be cocktails to enjoy alongside a number of honey and bee-based activities.
