Hallgarten signs deal to distribute McWilliam’s across Continental Europe

Hallgarten & Novum Wines has signed a deal as the exclusive distributor of McWilliam’s Wines Group (MWG) across Continental Europe.

Taking place with immediate effect, the partnership includes Hallgarten taking on distribution of Australian MWG's table and fortified wines and the Mount Pleasant collections in both the on and off outside of the UK.

MWG, which has been distributed in the UK by Enotria&Coe since October last year, was the “exact kind of wine partner” Hallgarten looked to work with, said MD Andrew Bewes.

“McWilliam’s is family-owned and quality-driven producer whose provenance and innovation is evident in a stunning line-up of wines,” he said.

Having “already established an exciting international portfolio”, Hallgarten looked forward to developing MWG's sales across Scandinavia and Continental Europe, he added.

MWG general manager APAC & EMEA, Garrick Harvison, said: “We needed to find a skilled distributor who could articulate the provenance of our brands and the elegant wine styles the McWilliam’s family has been perfecting for over 140 years - no mean feat. We are sure we have found the right partner.”

A founding member of Australia’s First Families of Wine (AFFW), MWG is the exclusive Australian distributor for Champagne Taittinger, Henkell, Mionetto and Mateus.
