Edinburgh Gin unveils new look for fruit liqueurs

Published:  10 August, 2017

Edinburgh Gin has unveiled a new design for its fruit gin liqueurs in a bid to bring the the range in-line with the brand’s core portfolio.

Hand-blown by artisan glassmakers in Italy, the bottles feature an embossed Edinburgh Gin logo alongside illustrations of signature ingredients, including Perthshire raspberries and Madagascan vanilla. They will start rolling out from the beginning of next month.

The new design for the range, which comprises four flavours – raspberry, elderflower, plum & vanilla and rhubarb & ginger, would build on the liqueurs success and unite the portfolio, said Neil Boyd, commercial director for brand owner Ian Macleod Distillers, adding the liqueurs were now among the distiller’s best-loved spirits.

"Over the last 12 - 18 months, we've seen the fruit gin liqueurs become a staple cocktail ingredient for those creating diverse and dynamic cocktails with Scottish gin at their heart and we have no doubt that the new designs will only increase their popularity.”

In September last year, Ian Macleod Distillers expanded its portfolio with the acquisition of Edinburgh gin producer Spencerfield Spirit Company for an undisclosed sum.
