Well-known trade figure Christopher Carson is to unveil his updated portfolio of agency wines this Monday and Wednesday at events in Brighton and London.
Launched in February this year, Carson and Carnevale Wines is a partnership between Carson Wines and premium Italian food producer and distributor Carnevale, offering a 400-strong premium portfolio of wines, primarily from family-owned wineries, aimed at on-trade and independent merchants.
The Carson & Carnevale portfolio is notably strong in Italy and Australia, with highlights including such labels as Hentley Farm, Malvira’ and Tenuta Sant’ Antonio, along with leading estates from Argentina and Chile, with Rutini and Siegal to the fore.
The portfolio also features a well-rounded selection of leading producers ranging from Napa to New Zealand’s Soho Wines, by way of South Africa, Spain and France, with both English and various Italian sparkling wines in the mix.
The tastings will showcase 180 wines, including a discovery flight of less usual and emerging varieties, from both the southern hemisphere and European producing countries, with winemakers from Italy and South America presenting masterclass tastings during the events.
