F&B Premium Brands launches Belgian Butcher's Gin

Published:  05 February, 2016

Premium Belgian food-and-drink importer F&B Premium Brands has launched a new gin based on the flavours of the Secreto 07 dry-aged beef created by luxury Antwerp-based butchery De Laet & Van Haver.

Butcher's Gin is made using the seven herbs used in the preparation of Secreto 07, which are macerated before distillation.

The recommended serve is with Schweppes premium pink pepper tonic, garnished with lemon zest, a pinch of pepper and fresh basil leaves.

Secreto 07 itself launched in the UK late last year. Supporters include Michelin-starred restaurants The Square, Maze and Shangri-La at the Shard, as well as the Adria brothers of Spain's world-famous El Bulli.

Phil Howard, chef at The Square, described Secreto 07 as "a truly phenomenal product. After 30 years in the industry it takes something really quite special to stop me in my tracks but the Secreto 07 does just that - each and every time I taste it."

Butcher's Gin has an abv of 43% and will retail at £48.95 for 75cl.
