FMV signs exclusive agency deal with South Africa's Mullineux

Published:  11 January, 2016

Fields, Morris & Verdin has added Mullineux & Leeu Family Wines to its portfolio of South African wines.

The exclusive agency partnership became active on January 1, but will launch with the release of the Swartland winery's 2014 white wines and its 2014 Syrah in March or April.

Katherine Dart MW, head of buying at FMV, said: "We are absolutely thrilled by the opportunity to work with Andrea and Chris Mullineux at this vital stage in the evolution of their business.

"We have admired their wines from afar for some considerable time and we are delighted to be able to add them to our stable of great producers from around the World."

Chris and Andrea Mullineux said:  "The UK is where it all started for us when we released our first vintage. It is still our most important market and we are proud and excited to be partnering with FMV to provide better service to our customers there."

Other South African wineries in the FMV portfolio include Sadie Family Wines, Waterford Estate, Tierhoek, Anthonij Rupert and Craven wines.

Mullineux & Leeu Family Wines is the 2016 Platter Guide's South African Winery of the Year.

Founded in 2007, Mullineux & Leeu Family Wines is now co-owned by Indian entrepreneur Analjit Singh.

Fields, Morris & Verdin is the agency and wholesale division of Berry Bros & Rudd.
