Clos des Grives celebrates 2013 vintage release on film

Published:  15 December, 2015

Côte du Rhône estate Clos des Grives is marking the release of its 2013 vintage with a short film.

Clos des Grives is situated in the northern Rhône valley in the Crozes Hermitage appellation.

The estate is releasing a red and a white wine, made from the Syrah and Roussane varietals respectively.

The 2013 vintage proved a challenging year for grape-growing, and the yields were low, particularly for the Roussane.

Production for the latter is consequently very limited for this vintage.

The wines were matured for a year before bottling and, once bottled, aged for a further year in the estate cellars.

Clos des Grives began production in 1955, three years after the first vines were planted.

It was one of the first vineyards to introduce organic practices into its viticulture in 1970.

The film is available to view online here.
