The activities, which will include tasting and seminars, will kick off in New Zealand, to be followed with separate events in Melbourne, Hong Kong, Germany, London, Toronto, New York and San Francisco. The final event in San Francisco will be a tasting held at Twitter's headquarters.
The UK trade is invited to participate and is encouraged to tweet with the #SauvBlanc Day with the opportunity to grab one of two individual trips for a UK trade member to attend the inaugural International Sauvignon Blanc Celebration which is to be held February 1-3, 2016 in Marlborough, New Zealand.

This competition is designed to get the trade engaged and excited to create some buzz around New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. The International Sauvignon Blanc Celebration conference will feature an array of speakers from across the sector and the programme will feature international tastings at wineries, seminars and panel discussions on everything from agricultural methods to the future of Sauvignon Blanc.
"The event programme has been designed to demonstrate the complexity of Sauvignon Blanc, emerging styles, vineyard practices and winemaking influences. There will be opportunities for guests to sample over 200 different examples of Sauvignon Blanc from across the globe, to learn from experts in the field of science, research, journalism and gastronomy while experiencing some stunning locations in Marlborough, New Zealand," said Patrick Materman, chairman of the International Sauvignon Blanc Celebration.
