Wines of Argentina launches a series of events ahead of Malbec World Day

Wines of Argentina UK will be hosting a series of events and running focused marketing campaigns across the trade, in the run-up to Malbec World Day.

The campaign will run in the off-trade, on-trade, and independent retailers as well as online ahead of Malbec World Day on 17 April 2015.

Each year Wines of Argentina looks to link Malbec World Day with a different form of art and this year the link will be with film. On the Malbec World Day website there are three short films that parallel the craft of making a film and that of making a wine and are part of the overall theme of the campaign 'Lights, Camera, Malbec."

All parts of the campaign will have a video or photographic element to it, which provide a great platform for consumers to engage with the campaign.

A promotion for independent retailers will be at the heart of the off-trade campaign and three winning retailers the chance to have a professional film crew create a promotional video for their businesses. The value of the video is £2,500 and is done with the support of Wooshi.com, the top video production marketplace in the UK.

The shop promotion will include A2 window posters, in-store 'Tango' floor sticker sets to encourage people to Tango in the shops, A4 strut card for customers to take a photo of the bottle purchased and post it on social media.

Majestic, Wine Rack and Virgin Wines will also be running promotions leading up to 17 April.

There will be a big focus on consumer engagement directly with Malbec World Day encouraging consumers to post videos and photos via Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. 'Dance the Tango in your local independent retailer', 'Host an Argentine Malbec party 'and take a photo of the bottle purchased will be encourage consumers to post their own videos and photos via all social platforms and online on the Malbec World Day website.
