Enotria appoints Hallgarten's Helen Munday as marketing director

Hallgarten's marketing director Helen Munday is jumping ship to take up the same role at Enotria, starting in January 2015.

Munday has worked for Hallgarten Druitt & Novum Wines for just under two years, and prior to that she headed up marketing at PLB.

This is the second senior appointment at Enotria in as many weeks - Jon Pepper MW, managing director at Buckingham Schenk, is to be the firm's new buying and retail director from February 2015.

Troy Christensen, Enotria's chief executive, said: "Enotria aspires to be the market leader when it comes to working closely with our producer partners to build brands and leveraging robust consumer insight to improve the business performance of our customers.

"Accordingly we are investing to develop and increase our marketing function and Helen will help bring about this step change in our business. Helen has in-depth knowledge of marketing and business strategy, consumer insight, brand development, new product development and public relations across all channels and origins in the UK market. Her breadth of experience encompasses retail, product development and brand building, together with experience in premium wine, spirits and beer."

Munday said: "I have closely followed the fortunes of Enotria for some time and this is a perfect time and opportunity to add vision and excitement to the business by instigating a premium marketing programme. I am really looking forward to working with the team there to invigorate and build on the success of the business and develop the companies leading position within the industry."

Munday has been a board-level marketing director for over 10 years. She started in marketing and buying at Boots, before joining Thresher in 1995. In her role at PLB she developed brand and supplier partnerships and created an insights function which helped boost the firm's growth with key retailers.
