Small, independent or niche wine importers have the chance to book a place in the Esoterica feature at the London Wine Fair that has seen 80% of last year's exhibitors book again for the 2015 show.
The Esoterica sector proved to be one of the most popular areas of last year's show, particularly amongst independent wine merchants and sommeliers.
There will again, though only be 80 tables available and exhibitors must be able to prove they have fewer than five employees and import wines from small producers.
Billed as a "show within the show" the Esoterica section will be located on the balcony area of the Grand Hall of London's Olympia, which once again has become home of the London Wine Fair after a 13-year gap.
Tables cost £950 per table with exhibitors allowed a maximum of two tables with 14 wines per table.
Ross Carter, LWF director, said: "Feedback from those who exhibited in Esoterica last year was extremely positive, which is reflected in the high percentage of re-bookings. Additionally, larger companies who were exhibiting elsewhere in the show also reported seeing significantly more independent retailers and sommeliers visiting their stand."
He added: "As a result of features like Esoterica and tailored incentives, including subsidised travel, accommodation and lunches for key buyers from independent retail and sommeliers, we saw significant increases in visitors from these sectors, which we are looking to build on for next year."
