Visitors to next month's Emerging Regions Tasting will get the chance to take part in two specialist masterclasses and discover more about Lebanese and Brazilian wines.

Leading Lebanese wine writer, Michael Karam, will look back at the developments that have taken place within Lebanese wine over the last 20 years in a session entitled: Modern Lebanon: why Lebanon is no longer a one-trick pony.

Karam will take visitors through a tutored tasting of wines from six wineries from the Bekaa Valley, Batroun and Mount Lebanon. Participating wineries include: Chateau Florentine, Chateau Ka, Chateau Kefraya, Chateau Ksara, Domaine des Tourelles and IXSIR. The tasting takes place between 12.15pm and 1pm.

Later that day the attention will turn to Brazil with a special session that hopes to  'Wake Up The Brazilian In You' taking place between 3.30pm and 4.15pm. Judy Kendrick and Ana Sofia de Oliveira, brand ambassadors for Wines of Brasil in the UK, will look at how the Brazilian wine category has come on leaps and bounds in recent years with exports of Brazilian wines to the UK already up 300% this year, making it the number one export market - buoyed by the interest in Brazil for this year's World Cup.

The session will look at how Brazilian wines tick all the boxes when it comes to meeting current wine drinking trends with a good variety of sparkling wines, food friendly reds and lower alcohol wines compared to other South American countries.

The Emerging Regions Tasting takes place on September 3 at 8 Northumberland Avenue in London. The day will feature wines and wineries, alongside their UK distributors, from countries including Slovenia, Georgia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Georgia, Macedonia, Israel, Uruguay, India, Japan, Cyprus, Greece, England, Romania and China.

Companies taking part include Yakata, Romanian Winegrowers, Stobi Winery, Bibendum, Hallgarten Druitt and Novum Wines, Croatian Fine Wines, Soul Tree Wines, Kedem Europe, Kayra, The Chinese Wine Company,
