World Bulk Wine Exhibition on the rise
The rise in popularity and importance of bulk wine in the global wine market is reflected in the World Bulk Wine Exhibition having to expand to cope with demand from exhibitors.
The sixth edition of the annual event in Amsterdam between November 24 and 25 will see a quarter more exhibitors heading to the city's RAI exhibition centre. Last year's event was the biggest to date with some 175 exhibitors from 16 countries attracting buyers from 71 countries.
This year's exhibition will see its "Voice of Wine" award presented to the Wines of South Africa for the work it has done to "improve the reputation of South African wines and to open up new export markets," say the organisers.
The World Bulk Wine Exhibition remains the only global event of its kind and claims it offers buyers the capacity to collectively buy up to 30 million hectolitres of wines between them. It will this year see more exhibitors in bulk wine from South Africa, Argentina, Chile, USA and Australia. It will also for the first time see a number of new players from Eastern Europe with a shared stand between Macedonia and Moldova.
The exhibition also offers a wide seminar programme to examine the latest bulk wine trends around the world. You can find out more information at www.worldbulkwine.com.
