Tesco Wine Fairs are set to return this coming autumn at five locations throughout the UK, including a switch to Earls Court in London to cope with the expected increase in visitors.
The fairs are estimated to attract over 15,000 visitors with half the tickets available already been sold.
Laura Jewell MW, product development manager for Tesco, said: "Our customers love the Tesco Wine Fairs and we are delighted to be able to provide them with this unique tasting opportunity. The continued growth of the Tesco Wine Community and the advances in digital media means that more and more people are hearing about the fairs and as the word spreads, the number of visitors continues to increase. This year we are anticipating almost 15,000 people will attend across the five fairs."
This will be the the 11th year that Tesco will be hosting the wine fairs which are set to take place in Birmingham, London, Manchester, Edinburgh and Bristol throughout September, October and November.
The fairs aim to help consumers discover new regions and styles of wine. The fairs will have 400 wines from 15 countries available and will provide workshops and 'Wine Walks' to encourage consumers to explore the different wine regions of the world.
This year's Tesco Wine Fairs will for the first time hold a 'Wine Clinic' hosted by its own Tesco Wine Community, the online social media netowrk that allows consumers to post recommendations and reviews.
