Sud de France to hold Joie de Vivre festival on South Bank

Published:  01 August, 2013

Sud de France has announced it will be holding a Joie de Vivre festival this month in London to celebrate the wine regions of southern France.

A stretch of London's South Bank will be transformed into the festival site on Saturday August 31, and will feature music and entertainment, as well as plenty of French food and wine, with the focus on the key southern French regions.

Entry to the festival is free of charge and the aim is to recreate the mood of "a perfect day in the south of France".

Visitors can expect to find a pétanque pitch, a sandy beach on which a sand-castle competition will take place, talks and taste experiences from wine, food and travel experts, a pop-up tourist office and a host of wine merchants showcasing wines from the southern French regions.

Wine merchants present at the festival include: Bemywine, Hourlier, Majestic, Roberson Wine, Sanglier and Borough Wines.
