'World's Best Restaurant' comes to Claridge's

Published:  25 April, 2012

René Redzepi, head chef of Noma in Copenhagen, is to launch 'A Taste of Noma at Claridge's' to mark the London Olympics.

Noma has been voted 'World's Best Restaurant' in both 2010 and 2011 at the 'World's 50 Best Restaurant Awards' on the back of Redzepi's focus on foraging and his reinterpretation of Nordic cuisine.

For ten days, Redzepi and his team will be in attendance and create a five course menu to reflect his signature flavours and dishes using local, seasonal British ingredients.

Organised in collaboration with events company, Taste Festivals, Redzepi, says: "We are excited about the opportunity to be part of the celebration of the Olympic Games in London and to work closely with the team at Claridge's.

"It is a different set-up from our home field, but we look forward to exploring the bounty of a different part of the world."

Claridge's general manager, Thomas Kochs, says: "This unique dining experience will be the first time the legendary chef will create his ground-breaking vision outside Denmark.

"The arrival of René and his team marks a true milestone in Claridge's culinary history, especially during such an exciting time in the capital."

'A Taste of Noma at Claridge's' will be available for both lunch and dinner from July 28- August 6.

The five course menu is priced at £195 per person www.claridges.co.uk/atasteofnoma
