Wine Sales Advisor

Champion Wines is looking for a trustworthy wine enthusiast with sales experience to join our team.

Roles and Responsibilities

• We are seeking a knowledgeable and self-motivated member of staff
• Demonstrated passion for food and wine.
• The successful candidate will be expected to work around 20 – 25 hours a week
• Prior Experience in retail preferable.
• They will be involved in all areas of the day-to-day running of the shop, such as recommending and selling wine to customers
• Serving customers in our Wine Bar
• Assisting with ordering of stock and stock control
• The confidence to stand in front of customers and talk about wine and spirits at our monthly wine tastings
• Working on correspondence with customer; newsletters, social media

Opportunities

This is a fantastic opportunity for some one who has previously worked in the wine trade or interested in working more closely with wine, and who wants to become part of a small and friendly team.

• The successful candidate will be able to develop knowledge of wine and spirits, as well as their tasting skills.
• There will be opportunities to attend wine tasting events in London.
• Excellent salary based on experience

Key Requirements

Level 3 WSET Award in Wines and Spirits or an equivalent knowledge

Passion for food and wine

• Great organization and customer-service skills
• Works well within a team
• Excellent communication and written English skills
