The French Ministry of Agriculture and Harpers Wine & Spirit have again teamed up invigorate the cateogry by encouraging consumer sampling and purchase of wines from across France this autumn.
Independent merchants boosted French wine sales by an average of 25% during last year's Celebrate France promotion ? and are being urged to sign up for this year's initiative.
One supplier who took part gained 13 new listings.
POS material, including branded bags, aprons, maps of French wine regions, spitoons and pocket guides of the country's wine regions, will be supplied to retailers in addition to free stock.
