Published:  20 April, 2011

Sunday Times Wine Club's Vintage Festival saw 3,700 club members and friends attended its 32nd, two day annual event.

The Festival, held on April 15 and 16,  at The Lawrence Hall in Westminster was hosted by wine club president Hugh Johnson OBE and showcased 190 wines from around the globe with growers, wine makers and the buyers on hand to give advice.

This year the event was held in the run-up to Malbec World Day on April 17, and as a tribute to Argentina's favourite grape, tango dancers were brought in entertain the crowds.

Founder Tony Laithwaite, said:  "There's nothing else like this for wine club customers anywhere else in Europe.

"It just gets better every year.

"As always customers thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity of tasting so many top rate wines with the people behind their creation. "
