London bar group Drake & Morgan is launching its fifth site, The Drift, in the newly developed Heron Tower in Bishopsgate in early June.

The 5,770 square foot, 250-cover venue includes two bars spread over two floors, has an open plan kitchen with a chef's table, as well as an alfresco area.

Founded in 2008, Drake & Morgan prides itself on large-scale design-led sites with bar/kitchens offering skinny cocktails, global wines, and an impressive menu.

It opened the Folly in November, a "botanically-inspired haven" complete with 8m-high Norwegian Spruce tree trunk, which 'grows' from the basement through the floor above to the main bar. Drake & Morgan's first property, the refinery, opened in the Blue Fin Building in August 2008, the parlour launched in the Park Pavilion, Canary Wharf in October 2009 while the Anthologist opened in April 2010 on Gresham Street.

Jillian MacLean, managing director, Drake & Morgan comments: "I'm thrilled to be launching our fifth site, The Drift. Since the successful launch of The Folly and The Anthologist, both in the City, customers have been giving us some great feedback and we know there is scope to develop cutting edge bars in the Square Mile. Having visited Istanbul and Beirut for inspiration we aim to provide the City with a refreshingly independent bar that includes a couple of unexpected touches".

The Drift menu champions seasonal produce, with dishes ranging from morning brunch and light lunches to sharing plates and mains. An extensive wine list including fine wines and wine flights sit alongside premium spirits, beers and a menu of signature and 'skinny' cocktails together with punch bowls. Average price per head is £20.
