Ehrmanns adds organic Ascella Pure Wines to portfolio

Published:  08 February, 2011

Ehrmanns has announced its appointment as UK agent for organic Australian producer Ascella Pure Wines.

Ascella Pure Wines claims to be the largest organic vineyard in the Hunter Valley and has a range that includes a Chardonnay, Semillon, Merlot and Shiraz, with a suggested retail of £10.99 per bottle.

The Ascella Pure Red and Pure White wines will be exclusive to Whole Foods Market in London and will retail for £7.99 each.

Winemakers Liz Jackson and Greg Silkman use only natural preservatives, and grapes are regularly tested throughout the vineyard to ensure air-borne chemicals have not contaminated the vineyard.

Ehrmanns Australian brand manager, Rachel Herrig, said: "We were immediately drawn to the point of difference Ascella offer and their dedication to making wine of excellent quality with practices that far exceed the organic certification requirements."

All its have been tested for purity by Advanced Analytical Australia Pty Ltd, a NATA world body recognized test facility.

The range is now available in the UK and will be exclusive to independent retailers.
