Paul Henry joins Wine Intelligence as associate director

Published:  12 January, 2011

Wine Intelligence has appointed Paul Henry as associate director, effective immediately.

Henry stepped down as Wine Australia's general manager for market development in December. He previously worked for the generic as regional director for UK & Ireland.

Henry's main areas of focus at Wine Intelligence will be growing market opportunities in the Asia Pacific region, and developing effective global brand strategies within the wine category.

Lulie Halstead, chief executive of Wine Intelligence, said: "We are honoured that Paul Henry has chosen Wine Intelligence to be part of the next step in his career. His experience and abilities are exactly what's required to tackle some of the major strategic issues our clients are facing, and I very much look forward to working closely with him in the future."

Henry will operate from Adelaide and joins Stephanie Duboudin, country manager Australia, who is based in Melbourne. He will also work closely with Jenny Li, Wine Intelligence's China specialist, to bring expertise and knowledge of the Hong Kong, China and SE Asia markets.

While working in collaboration with Wine Intelligence, Henry will continue to manage Winehero, the branding and marketing communications consultancy he founded. He said: "Wine Intelligence has rapidly established a global reputation for first class insights and brand-building services. I am delighted to join its team in a strategic role that I think will benefit both the company and the brand owners and markets that it serves."
