Rosé sales rocket for Norfolk producer

Published:  08 November, 2010

Norfolk-based wine producer, Broadland Wineries, has reported a big rise in sales of its rosé which is outselling its white and red bottles at a rate of three to one.

Following the launch its Three Mills range of rosé, white and red wines last summer, the Cawston producer said it has seen sales of its rosé go from strength to strength.

Broadland Wineries' sales and marketing director, David Thornhill, said: "The rosé wine sector as a whole is a burgeoning one, so we are certainly benefiting from widening consumer demand.

He adds further contributing factors are consumer commitment to buying British and an attractive price point. "A lot of customers also like to buy British, so we believe our rosés really stand out in the smaller rosé section of the wine aisle. And, in light of the recent austerity cuts, value for money is crucial for shoppers."

Three Mills Reserve Three Mills and Three Mills Reserve are available through Iceland stores nationwide, selected retailers and online at www.broadland-wineries.com.
