Whisky returns to TV after 15-year absence

Published:  30 September, 2010

Grant's whisky is back on TV after a 15-year absence as the sponsor of Piers Morgan Life Stories on ITV1, which starts on Saturday (October 2).

As part of the brand's multi million pound investment for 2010, Grant's whisky will also be the official sponsor of a one-off special When Piers Met Lord Sugar programme.

Supplier First Drinks said the deal will give the brand "unprecedented exposure to a national audience".

Five, 10 and 15-second break bumpers will be shown at the beginning and end of the prime time show which will be aired on Saturday nights, as well as either side of all commercial breaks.

James Stocker, marketing controller for dark spirits at First Drinks, said: "The sponsorship will enable us to reach a massive audience, including a very high proportion of Grant's core target consumers and the Life Stories theme fits perfectly with the brand's own rich heritage and story of its success to date."
