Constellation ramps up Gran Tierra investment

Constellation is ramping up investment in its mainstream Chilean wine brand Gran Tierra as part of its £1m marketing launch.

From October 4, Gran Tierra is launching a new cash and carry promotion to drive sales in the run-up to Christmas.


The new promotion gives retailers who purchase Gran Tierra the chance to win a share of £8,000 to spend on Constellation wines and wine style drinks.


The main winner will get £3,000 to spend on Constellation wines and 50 runners up will each receive £100 to spend.


The promotion will be supported by POS, trade advertising and visibility kits for retailers. The trade promotion will run alongside Gran Tierra's current 'Breath of Fresh Air' on pack offer where consumers can win a balloon flight across the Andes.


Stephen Loftus, Constellation Wines' director of innovation said: "One year on from launch, Gran Tierra has sold over 2.5 million bottles. We have supported the brand consistently throughout the year, most recently with a national outdoor advertising campaign, to ensure we continue to build a memorable Chilean brand."
