Glenfiddich in search for Malt Mastermind

Published:  24 August, 2010

Glenfiddich has launched a search to find the bartender worthy of the title Malt Mastermind of the Year.

The competition is open to anyone who works in the on-trade and the winner will receive a trophy, £1,000 in cash and a VIP trip to the Glenfiddich distillery to taste a range of rare expressions of the malt.

The judging panel will be headed by Jamie Milne who has joined distributor First Drinks as Glenfiddich's first-ever brand ambassador.

For the first phase of the competition entrants will have to answer some questions and create a simple serve for Glenfiddich.

The panel will shortlist eight entrants who will go through to the final in London at the end of this year.

Senior brand manager Andy Corris said: "We hope to further raise awareness of the brand's credentials in the on-trade and encourage a new generation of ambassadors for Glenfiddich."
