London City Bond secures Armit contract

London City Bond, has secured a three-year storage and distribution contract with west London based wine merchant, Armit.

The deal involves London City Bond storing all of Armit's trade stock at its bonded warehouse in Barking and distributing product nationwide. A portion of Armit's private reserves will also be stored at London City Bond's Vinoteque facility in Staffordshire.



Armit has been trading for more than 20 years, selling to private clients, top hotels and restaurants and leading independent specialists, as well as to the UK and international wine trade. The products will arrive from destinations across Europe and South America before being stored at Barking.

Jeff Stanton, non-executive Chairman at London City Bond, said: "Our contract with Armit represents our eighth new client win, during the last year and to secure a contract with one of the UK's most prestigious fine wine companies further reinforces our reputation as the first choice logistics provider for the fine wines and spirits market."


London City Bond's Barking-based warehouse stretches over 273,000 sq ft and is complete with 34 dock levellers, as well as state-of-the-art security systems.
