Blossom Hill launches £1m advertising campaign

Published:  27 May, 2010

Blossom Hill has ploughed £1 million into a summer advertising campaign centered around its sponsorship of the Wimbledon tennis championships.

The American wine brand will embark on an aggressive marketing campaign designed to position its rose as the wine of choice of alfresco summer drinking and dining under the slogan 'Summer Perfectly Served'.

Blossom Hill has confirmed it will run a series of television adverts in the run-up to the May bank holiday.

Its 'Summer Perfectly Served' campaign will also feature a combination of print, broadcast, digital and billboard advertising with a big Wimbledon ticket giveaway the centrepiece of its advertising.

Limited edition tennis ball label designs on Blossom Hill's White Zinfandel and White Grenache will be available from June 1.

This year is the fourth time that Blossom Hill has signed up to be the official wine of Wimbledon and will see the brand commit to a 28% increase in marketing spend compared to 2009.

Blossom Hill marketing manager Liz Ashdown said: "The impact of the Wimbledon and broader summer campaign is expected to boost rose sales at a key time of year - when 30% of rose is sold."
