Maker's Mark invades Shoreditch

Published:  18 May, 2010

Maker's Mark Bourbon is taking over London's trendy Shoreditch district with an advertising and sampling campaign.

Outdoor ads in the area and at nearby Liverpool Street railway station will be supplemented by sampling in local art galleries.

Discounted Maker's Mark cocktails will be on sale in bars including All Star Lanes, Lounge Lover and Cargo.
Local artists will display artworks inspired by the Maker's Mark red wax seal in bars.

There will also be sampling at Liverpool Street and in off-trade retailers, and a Twitter campaign will offer red-heads a free cocktail from a bartender inside a pop-up installation in the form of a vending machine.

Brand manager Lee Walker said: "Maxxium UK has recognised huge potential to grow Maker's Mark so we are investing in the most significant campaign ever launched for the brand in the UK."

The campaign may be rolled out to further UK locations over the next year as part of a £1.5 million spend on the brand.
