Foster's places wine brands into JV

Foster's is transfer 13 Australian wine brands into a joint venture with Vok Beverages, best known for its reputation in building RTD brands.

Vok is to take over the sales, marketing and management of the brands from Dec 1, with Foster's continuing to produce wine for the 50-50 joint venture.

Among the wines included in the deal are Andrew Garrett, Great Western and Yarra Ridge.

David Dearie, managing director for wine in Australia and New Zealand at Foster's, said: "This substantially completes the rationalisation of the Australian wine tail brands announced as part of the wine strategic review outcomes in February.

"This joint venture allows Foster's to focus on winemaking, distribution and marketing its core portfolio."
