Blood quits as S&N's UK boss

Published:  19 May, 2009

Jeremy Blood, managing director of Scottish & Newcastle UK, has quit the job for "personal reasons".

Blood, who headed up the UK operation of S&N after its integration into Heineken, had been in the job for around a year.

Scottish and Newcastle said Blood would leave the business with immediate effect and a successor would be announced shortly.

Meanwhile, the existing management team will run the business on a day-to-day basis, reporting directly to Didier Debrosse, Heineken's Regional President, Western Europe, who will assume executive management of the company.

Debrosse said: "S&NUK is making good progress in the delivery of its plans. However, for personal reasons, Jeremy has decided to leave the business.

"I would like to thank him for his significant contribution to building both the company and its brand portfolio over the last 20 years and for his work over the last 12 months to integrate Scottish & Newcastle and Heineken UK."

Blood joined S&N as a graduate trainee in 1988 and had worked across most parts of the business.
