Diageo film aims to inspire bartenders

A film which aims to inspire bartenders has been released online by Diageo's Reserve Brands Group.

The four-minute film features seven leading bartenders: Simon Difford, Peter Dorelli, Michael Menegos, Gary Regan, Jamie Walker, Angus Winchester and Hidutsegu Ueno. In the film, the seven pour drinks, pass shakers and add garnishes from hand to hand and bar to bar to create "the ultimate round of cocktails".

The film, created by digital agency 20:20 London, can be found at themagnificentsevenblog.com.

Hugh Pile, head of Reserve Brands at Diageo GB, said: "We hope to inspire up and coming talent by showcasing the genius of seven of the world's top bartenders in this innovative film, highlighting the skill, craft and innovation that makes them top of their game."

All seven gurus will be present at the global final of the World Class competition, which takes place on July 13, 14 and 15 in London, as 26 finalists from 26 countries compete for the title World Class Best Bartender in the World. The British final of World Class takes place on June 30 and the winner will progress to the global final.
