It says the number of French restaurants going bankrupt rose by 25% last year. The economic crisis to being blamed for a change in the country's eating habits - with fewer people willing to fork out for the nation's traditional three-course lunch.
According to credit insurance group Euler Hermes SFAC, the restaurant sector in France has seen the third highest number of bankruptcies this year, behind the construction and building trades.
