Enotria does on-trade deal with Wheeler Cellars

Published:  23 July, 2008

The directors of Colchester Wine Ltd. are pleased to announce that their On-trade wine supply business, trading as "Wheeler Cellars" (formally the Trade Division of Lay and Wheeler), and their Agency business, trading as "Select Vineyards", will join forces with the highly successful Enotria wine distribution company with effect from Monday 21st July 2008.

The two companies share similar values. Each will be strengthened by the merging of respective interests in East Anglia and the combination of skills and resources in the service of the company's valued customers in this region and further afield.

Both companies are determined to ensure that this partnership takes place with no detriment to service, continuity of supply or terms of trade. The retention and continued support of loyal and valued customers is important to both companies.

In due course the service will be further enhanced by the introduction of exciting new wines from Enotria's extensive range supported by new offers and deals. Meanwhile it is business as usual:

  • The same sales team
  • The same delivery staff
  • The same support team in Colchester
  • The same wine range
  • Existing terms of trade honoured

Johnny Wheeler said: "Enotria's Chief Executive, Alison Levett, and I not only share a similar East Anglian heritage but also a similar commitment to excellence in the service of the quality restaurants, hotels and trade customers. Reliable and enticing wines that deliver above expectations, backed by a constant readiness to go "that extra mile" in the service of their customers has been the formula for the success of both companies. This is an exciting development for our customers and staff"
