Courvoisier gets 11m marketing investment

Published:  23 July, 2008

Spirits company Beam Global UK is investing 11m in Courvoisier, the leading cognac brand in the UK, this year with a 1m investment kicking off this Sunday (June 22) in The Observer newspaper.

Beam Global has linked up with the newspaper in its search for new members to join its Courvoisier: The Future 500 "elite online network".

The network was originally launched last year and the cognac brand is now looking for another 500 entrepreneurs to join the original line-up.

Advertising for the initiative will appear online on a variety of websites, including the Financial Times, The Times, Reuters, Growing Business and Cond Nast.

The aim of The Future 500 is to link Courvoisier and raise its image with some of the UK's "most influential and successful people".

The next group of entrepreneurs will be chosen by a judging panel, with the top 100 new recruits being profiled in a special supplement in The Observer.

The Future 500 gives successful candidates the chance to attend exclusive events and access through a secure website to other members.

"The network unites and celebrates some of the UK's brightest talents, while helping to build a connection between these target consumers and Courvoisier," said Claire Richards, Beam Global UK brand manager for Courvoisier.

Other brand activity this year will emphasise the use of Courvoisier as a mixer and a base for cocktails.
